In brief – Rocket Lab “It’s Business Time” launch delayed to June 27

Rocket Lab’s next attempt to launch its third mission, dubbed “It’s Business Time,” will take place Wednesday, June 27, with the four hour window opening at 8:30 PM ET. A combination of technical difficulties and weather postponed the first attempt over the weekend.

“It’s Business Time” was scheduled to be launched on the evening of June 22 (Eastern Time) from the company’s facility in New Zealand. Problems with a downrange tracking dish forced an initial delay. By the time the problem was resolved, inclement weather moved in to cancel launch operations. Further weather issues pushed the attempt first out of the weekend and past Monday.

The Rocket Lab launch will put three commercial Cubesats from two companies into orbit, along with a STEM project and a drag re-entry tech demonstration.
